What’s it take?

Posted on Monday, November 28, 2011 in Uncategorized

It’s been three weeks since I “got a cold”. It’s a mighty cold. Relentlessly my cold has beaten off all attempts to find a remedy.

Despite such evident opposition I’ve had a great week. Food, family, friends and frivolity were plentiful.

As I recover from my week of self-discipline this week I’m diving into my journey to define values and how our values affect our lives.

As I begin, let me ask you a question:  What’s it take for you to have a great week?

Bring on the comments

  1. For the most part a great week would entail minimal things going wrong. The less things go wrong the lesser the need of things going right. Basically nothing stressful cropping up unexpected and out of the blue. Winning my fantasy football game helps too 🙂

  2. Tom, I was talking to Amy when I read, “For the most part a great week would entail minimal things going wrong.”
Amy saw the expression on my face, “What?” I laughed, “Woe, can I relate.”
We’ve had that perspective as an over-riding value at times too.
    Sometimes life hits hard.
[I immediately thought of a fantasy football analogy — “Sometimes life hits hard; like your FF team!”]
    Thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi Scott, This is the first time I’ve looked at your blog, and I like it! A lot here to Ponder. Sorry it took so long to visit. You and your ministry are on my mind often. I respect you greatly and will continue to pray. And read mysilentscream. Blessings, brother. RVR

  4. Bob,

I cannot tell you how much appreciate your comment.
While I read sports blogs more often, no blogger has moved my heart and soul me more than God’s used you.
    Thank you again for reading!

    Scott
