Web Apps You Want To Know About, pt 1

Posted on Friday, November 20, 2009 in Uncategorized

Google’s new Chrome OS will use web apps exclusively. Whether you ever use Chrome OS or not you will want to know about some great convenient user-friendly web apps.

Over the next couple of days I will introduce you to some of my favorite web apps.

Aviary

I love creating on Aviary. Mostly I’ve edited photos, but you can also create “logos, web templates, filters, color palettes, screen capture & more.”

Bubble.Us

Sometimes I mind-map when I am being creative. Bubbl.US offers online mind-mapping. Check it out next time you want your imagination visualized.

Vid2mp3

Vid2mp3 is a sweet way to pick up a quick song. I just downloaded a song from a recent concert I could not attend. The site explains that you can “download the audio from none-copyrighted video clips on video sites! We support all of your favorites, Myspace, Youtube, Google video and more. Remember to bookmark our Video to Sound converter for all your vid to mp3 needs!”

Dayssince

Like quirly anniversaries? Me too. Tomorrow it will be 8799 since my first date with Amy. Want in on a secret? I used to always do this my hand, but now I use dayssince to do the math for me!

Evernote

I use Evernote every day to copy, sort and edit insightful, humorous or educational web clippings. It’s quick. It’s convenient. You can even add a browser button to the Firefox web browser for instant copy and paste.

Favikon

Have you been to my blog mysilentscream.com? Have you seen the cute little custom made logo by the url? I made it using Favikon.
