Dream On
The U.S. presidential election is nearing; Tuesday, November 6, 2012. It’s forty-five days away. Millions of dollars have been spent on the campaigns.
These are the campaign values I’ve heard: accusations and slander, grumbling and judgments, unrest and disharmony, false hopes and empty promises.
I know it’s a dream, but these are the campaign values that I wish I heard:
Let’s be devoted to one another in love.
Let’s honor one another above yourselves.
Let’s inspire one another on toward love and good deeds.
Let’s live in harmony with one another.
Let’s accept one another.
Great End of the School Year Advice
I’m listening to an Aerosmith concert recorded when I was a teen; I loved Steven Tyler’s voice then, but I like the new old-guy even better.
“Sweet Emotion” is playing. “Can’t say where I’m gonna be in a year…Said my get up and go musta got up & went.”
Read that again, “my get up and go musta got up & went.“ That sounds like most students, and school faculty, I know. They want to finish strong, but wow, they’re looking at the finish line, but it looks like a lot of work to get there.
