Embrace Your Uniqueness pt 2 of 2

Posted on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Uncategorized

How are you feeling?  Maybe you’re doing great; maybe not.  Many times I feel like that swan in the middle: Everyone is heading in one direction except me.

Sometimes it’s hard to keep focused on the best things in life while every message in print or via the media seems to tell me that what I have is not good enough.

Know what I mean?

In my heart I know I’m heading the right way.  For the last several years I have embraced the fact that I am unique.  I may not always get it right, but sometimes it’s great to be different.

And you, well, God is totally crazy about you.  God is so crazy in love with you the Bible says that God sings love songs thinking about you. “Happy to have you back, he’ll calm you with his love and delight you with his songs…[God] will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” *

God loves you even though God knows everything about you.  You’re uniquely you.  You’re an original.  You’re a masterpiece.  You’re irreplaceable.  There’s nobody like you.  There never has been; there never will be.  You have been and always will be lovable, capable and worthwhile.

God offers YOU gifts for now.

God wants to change us in ways we could never imagine possible.  God offers us a reason to live.  Regardless of the circumstances around your birth, you were not a mistake, an oops, nor an accident.  Despite some of your mess ups and screw ups, God is absolutely in love with you and wants the best for you.  God has not finished working in and through you yet.  While you are lovable, capable and worthwhile, God doesn’t want you to settle for what you have God has great things in store for you and me.  Stuff for now, and stuff for later.

God offers YOU gifts for later.

God wants to spend forever with us.  Imagine spending forever with someone who knows us inside and out and still loves us.  Not only that but God also designed eternity knowing full well how we would best enjoy it.  God offers us another gift, And He wants to save your soul and take you to heaven with him forever.

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” **

This is what God wants to do in the lives of every person, every day, everywhere.

* Zephaniah 3:17

** Ephesians 2:8-10
