Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Douglas came to TreeHouse this week. I enjoyed learning more about this courageous and determined young woman.

Courage and Faith
Where does Gabby’s courage and faith come from?
Watch this video, Gabby’s faith in God drives her decision making. That kind of faith is sacrificial faith.
“…since God has shown us great mercy, I beg you to offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him. Your offering must be only for God and pleasing to him, which is the spiritual way for you to worship.”
Gabby’s faith in God affects her decision making. That kind of faith is courageous faith.
The Bible challenges us. “Do not be shaped by this world; instead be changed within by a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to decide what God wants for you; you will know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.” 1
Whether your faith is big or your faith is small what is one thing you have courageously given up because your faith in God is real?
Ask yourself, “What area of my life do I need to give over to God next?” Do you already know?
When you know, ask yourself three more questions
– How can I take the next step?
– What will distract me?
– Who will help me?
Those three questions can help us to be honest with ourselves.
Find someone to help you think through your goals, your choices and honest answers to those three questions.
